Our walk around the Cathedral started on the Carrer Del Bisbe, a narrow street that runs along the side of the huge complex. We encountered this impressive sculpture...

... and a pretty tiled wall.

A courtyard - the Plaza del Rei - sits on the other side of the Cathedral.

Behind the Cathedral is the Palau de la Generalitat. It was closed for renovation during our visit, but there are many beautiful details to be seen in the walls as you walk in the narrow street between the Cathedral complex and the Palau.

The end of our circular walk around the Cathedral took us to the Casa del Ardiaca, a beautiful free standing structure adjacent to the Cathedral.

Anti-war sign in the vicinity of the Cathedral. Much opposition to the war in Iraq was on display in Barcelona, but we never encountered any overt anti-Americanism during our visit.
