We started our trip in Panama City ("Panama" on the map), in the center of the country. The Panama Canal runs north to south across the Isthmus, with the south outlet at Panama City and the north outlet at Colon.

We drove across the country from Panama through Chorrera down to Chitre, where we overnighted. We made a side trip to Las Tablas. Continuing west, we drove through Santiago to David, then north to Boquete. Finally, we flew back to Panama City from the little airport in David.
