| After our drive to Chitre, we stopped at the Hotel Versailles and booked a couple of rooms. The hotel had a nice poolside area, with ginger plants. |

| We drove down to Las Tablas, about 40minutes south. It's an old town, not terribly exciting, but I found this beautiful old bell in front of the church. | |
| After leaving Chitre, we made a short stop in La Arena to watch ceramics being made and to buy some. | |
